This is what sent me down this path. These words (not exact - please don’t hold me to them) by Mark Schefferman ignited a fire in my mind and heart. The whole conversation did much more than validate my abilities as a poet and spoken word artist. They inspired me to find the value in what I do and to go on such an alchemical journey…

And alchemy it is… when you think about all the ingredients that went into this project, you realize what it takes to make what we did. It feels like a recipe… with all the different ingredients that had to come together for the final experience.

The best thing I did for the success of this tape, was to find the people that would share and celebrate its success as much as I would.
Although it has been a work of patience, faith, and grit... It's also been a work of companionship and connection. It's shown me the people I can depend on amid urges to give up. It's given me names to pledge my legions to, and faces to take care of.
